Court Canvas ("the App") is a tennis strategy and visualization tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.
Data Collection
Court Canvas does not require an account and we do not ask for personal information such as your name or email address. We do use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate site usage and improve the product. We do not:
- Require account creation or login
- Collect names, emails, or contact information
- Track your precise location
- Access your contacts, photos, or other device data
- Use cookies for visitor analytics
Local Storage
The App uses your browser's localStorage to save:
- Your saved plays and diagrams
- App preferences (theme, court type, settings)
- Tutorial completion status
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or anyone else. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Analytics
We use TelemetryDeck to understand aggregate website traffic, such as page views, referrers, broad country information, campaign parameters, browser type, and device category. TelemetryDeck does not use cookies or fingerprinting for its web analytics, and its visitor identifier is designed to reset each day.
We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand site performance and usage trends. We use these tools to improve Court Canvas, not to identify you personally.
URL Sharing
When you use the "Share" feature, your play diagram is encoded into the URL itself. Anyone with the link can view your diagram. No data is stored on our servers - the entire play state is contained within the URL parameters.
Third-Party Services
Court Canvas uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-focused website analytics and Vercel Analytics/Speed Insights for site metrics. We do not use third-party advertising services.
Children's Privacy
Court Canvas is suitable for users of all ages. We do not ask children or adults to provide personal information through the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
