Overview

Court Canvas ("the App") is a tennis strategy and visualization tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Court Canvas does not require an account and we do not ask for personal information such as your name or email address. We do use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate website and native app usage and improve the product. We do not:

• Require account creation or login
• Collect names, emails, or contact information
• Track your precise location
• Access your contacts, photos, or other device data
• Use cookies for visitor analytics

Local Storage

The App uses your browser's localStorage to save:

• Your saved plays and diagrams
• App preferences (theme, court type, settings)
• Tutorial completion status

Saved plays stay in this browser unless you export or share them. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to understand aggregate website traffic, such as page views, referrers, broad country information, campaign parameters, browser type, and device category. TelemetryDeck does not use cookies or fingerprinting for its web analytics, and its visitor identifier is designed to reset each day.

We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand site performance and usage trends. We use these tools to improve Court Canvas, not to identify you personally.

URL Sharing

When you share a live link, the play, its name and any coaching notes are encoded in the URL. Anyone with that link can view them. Opening the link sends that URL to our hosting service, which renders the play page and link preview. Hosting providers may retain request logs. We do not maintain an account-based server library of your plays.

Native App Storage and Microphone

The iOS app stores plays, preparation cards and My Bag on your device. It also backs up plays to your private iCloud storage when available. File backups include plays, preparation cards, My Bag and recorded playing days. Narration uses your microphone only when you start a recording and grant permission; recordings remain on your device until you share them.

Native analytics include product interactions and a pseudonymous device identifier. We do not link these analytics to your identity or use them for tracking. Analytics do not include your drawings, coaching notes, racket names or microphone recordings. Purchases are processed by Apple.

Third-Party Services

Court Canvas uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-focused website and native app analytics and Vercel Analytics/Speed Insights for site metrics. We do not use third-party advertising services.

Children's Privacy

Court Canvas is suitable for users of all ages. We do not ask children or adults to provide personal information through the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
